Potassium Monopersulfate, also referred to as Pool Oxidizer, is a non-chlorine way to oxidize your pool's water.
As part of your normal weekly chemical therapy, oxidizer is advised. The disadvantage of using unstabilized chlorine is that you are limited in your ability to use an oxidizer to increase your chlorine residual. Use an unstabilized chlorine shock if there is visible or present algae because an oxidizer won't get rid of it.
